She has always been a performer as she has been acting since the age of 4 and has trained in theater and dance including Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi, and Kathak.
In 2008, she auditioned for Pantaloons Femina Miss India South when she was in her third year of engineering and became the first runner-up.
She has also been a Miss India 2008 finalist.
