Sammy Raina has a lot of skills to make people laugh. He started his stand-up comedy career on the open-mic stage during his college days. He has also initially performed outside the college inside the college campus.
After several open-mixes, he started performing as a professional comedian in Pune. After getting recognition and growth he started performing in different cities of the country.
Amazon Prime’s stand-up competition Comicstan Season 2 became the turning point in his career. Eventually, sammy raina wins the competition. He shared the stage with comedian Akash Gupta. During the Covid-19 pandemic, when all outdoor shows were cancelled, Raina started a YouTube channel where he streamed online chess games.
Comedian Tanmay Bhatt suggested him to stream a game of chess online with Samee on his channel. Samee started streaming with other comedians like Tanmay Bhatt, Akash Gupta and also Youtuber.
After his channel grew, Indian Grandmaster Vidit Gujrathi was approached to invite him to his show and Sam did the same and this move further boosted his channel. He is appreciated by many chess legends like Viswanathan Anand, Anish Giri, Baskaran Adiban for his efforts to promote Chess in India through his channel.
