Dr. Vikas Divyakirti ji did his initial studies at Saraswati Shishu Mandir and for further studies, he did BA Honors from Delhi University History subject. After this, he did MPhil in Hindi Literature and Ph.D. in Sociology and Mass Communication, MA and LLB in Hindi Literature, and cleared UGC NET and GRF.

Dr. Vikas Divyakirti started working as a salesman at the age of just 17, selling calculators door-to-door with his elder brother.
While working as a salesman, he started earning money from debate competitions at the university. He used to earn good money by winning 30 to 40 debates in a year, then he left the job as a salesman.
After this, he started working in a printing company, and after getting complete information about printing from there, he started the printing business with his elder brother.
After this, he taught in many institutes and colleges and started Drishti IAS Coaching in the year 1999.
Establishment of Drishti Coaching Institute
After completing his studies, Dr. Vikas Divyakeerti was appointed as IAS in 1996. Within a few months, he came to know that he was not happy in this job. Because of this, he left the job at IAS.
Vikas Divyakirti Sir tells that he remained unemployed for 20 months and he and at that time he saw people preparing for the job he had left.
It was only after that when people started asking him various questions about his strange decision, he started guiding them for the IAS exam. His told methods and teaching style attracted people to such an extent that the number of students started increasing rapidly in a very short time, to handle this, he started Drishti Coaching Institute.
Initially, it was a struggle to run the organization in a place like Delhi but in 2017 Vikas Divyakirti started his youtube channel and started giving some essential information related to UPSC exam preparation to the kids. Which made them popular all over India.
